Legacy Folder Migration to Spaces – Hightail

Overview

We are migrating legacy folders to the Spaces structure to enhance collaboration and file management. As part of this transition, your legacy folders will be moved under a designated "Legacy Folder" space under spaces section of Hightail.

This migration will take place in three phases, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to your workflow.

Migration Timeline

Phase 1: Advance Notification

On [04/03/2025], you will receive a notification informing you that we will be updating access permissions for legacy folders.
This update is necessary to prepare for the migration and ensure data integrity.
No immediate action is required from you.

Phase 2: Read-Only Access

On [05/05/2025], your legacy folders will transition to read-only access.
You will still be able to view and download files but will no longer have editing permissions.
This step ensures that no new changes are made while we securely migrate your content.

Phase 3: Migration Completion

The migration process will be completed and communicated to user via in app notification.
Your legacy folders will be available under Spaces as "Legacy Folder" by the end of June 2025.
You can access your files in the same way as other spaces within Hightail.
Full functionality, including sharing, collaboration, and file management, will be available.

What This Means for You

Your files remain safe and accessible throughout the migration.
No files will be lost; everything will be retained in the "Legacy Folder Space."
Collaboration will be enhanced with the features available in Spaces.
